Météo-France issued red warnings (advising extreme vigilance) for Corsica on Sunday due to the violent winds; as of 22:00 (local time), the warnings have been downgraded to yellow advisories (advising caution) due to weakening winds. Wind gusts of 90-120 km/h (55-75 mph) are nonetheless possible in Corsica over the coming hours before the winds subside on Monday morning (local time), December 10. Residual transportation disruptions (including flight and train delays and cancelations) are to be expected.
