Jordan: Inclement weather conditions forecast Dec.6-7

The Jordan Meteorological Department indicated on Thursday, December 6, that inclement weather conditions are forecast in Jordan over the coming days. Heavy rain and strong winds are expected, notably in northern and central regions, and associated flooding and landslides are possible in the affected areas. These conditions are expected to persist at least until December 7.

Consequent transportation disruptions are to be expected, as well as potential power outages and infrastructure damages.  

Advice

Individuals in affected areas are advised to monitor local weather forecasts, prepare for transportation disruptions, and adhere to any instructions issued by the local authorities. In the event of flooding, keep in mind that driving or walking through running water can be dangerous - 15 cm (6 in) of running water is enough to knock over an adult.
