Tensions remain high in Marsabit county as of Tuesday, December 18, following recent violent intercommunal clashes. On Sunday, December 16, at least three people were killed, including a local chief, during ethnic clashes between members of the Gabbra and Wayu communities in the town of Giresa, over water and land.
