Pakistan: Thermal scanners installed at airports
Health authorities announce the installation of thermal scanners at airports to prevent cross-border disease transmission

The Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) is installing thermal scanners at airports and other ports of entry to prevent the cross-border transmission of diseases. Such devices are operational at Islamabad International Airport (ISB), Bacha Khan International Airport (PEW) in Peshawar, Allama Iqbal International Airport (LHE) in Lahore, and Jinnah International Airport (KHI) in Karachi. Passengers on international flights will be screened with those suspected of illnesses subject to quarantine. In addition, the NHS announced that all ports of entry will be held to a higher standard of sanitation to control the spread of disease.
