Temperatures in Astana are expected to dip as low as -37°C (-35°F) with wind chill factors of -51°C (-60°F) through Thursday. Snowfall totals of up to 10 cm (4 in) are forecast on Tuesday, creating hazardous travel conditions. The winter weather system is also forecast to impact North Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Akmola, Kostanay, and Karaganda provinces .
