Tunisia: Public transportation strike in Tunis February 5

Unions representing employees of the Société des transports de Tunis (Transtu), Tunis' public transportation operator, have called for a strike to be held on Tuesday, February 5. According to union representatives, the strike is being organized to demand better working conditions and structural changes. Associated demonstrations are possible in Tunis. Transportation disruptions are expected during the planned strike, as well as higher demand for alternate means of transportation.
