Customs officers continue their strike on March 13; significant disruptions reported

The strike launched by French customs officers on Monday, March 4, is persisting as of Wednesday, March 13. As such, significant disruptions to Eurostar services are being reported notably at Paris' Gare du Nord and Lille Europe train stations. Other disruptions on transportation services to the UK, including at the cross-channel ferries and the channel tunnel are also being reported, notably at the ports of Calais and Dunkirk. Associated disruptions are also reported at Lyon-Saint Exupery (LYS), Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc (CMF), and Grenoble Alpes Isère (GNB) airports. Disruptions are also possible at Paris airports. The strike could be extended over the March 16-17 weekend, leading to further disruptions.
