Customs officers to continue their strike until at least March 20; significant disruptions reported

The strike launched by French customs officers on Monday, March 4, is persisting as of Monday, March 18, and is expected to continue until at least Wednesday, March 20. As such, significant disruptions to Eurostar services (delays and cancelations) are being reported notably at Paris' Gare du Nord train station. Other disruptions on transportation services to the UK, including at the cross-channel ferries and the channel tunnel are also being reported, notably at the ports of Calais and Dunkirk. Disruptions are also possible at airports acros the country, notably in Paris.

French customs officers launched a strike on March 4, to highlight the need for additional staff and a higher budget, as well as a salary raise, ahead of Brexit.
