Japan: Flight disruptions at Yamagata airport after earlier runway incident April 23

Airport authorities in Higashine have warned of flight disruptions following an earlier runway incident at Yamagata Airport (GAJ) on Tuesday, April 23. The incident, which occurred at approximately 16:45 (local time) prompted the closure of the runway facility. A Fuji Dream Airlines flight reportedly skidded off the runway while preparing for takeoff; there were no reported injuries. It is unclear when normal operations will resume.
