Taiwan: 6.1-magnitdue earthquake hits Hualien county April 18

A 6.1-magnitude struck approximately 11 km (7 mi) northwest of Hualien County Hall at 13:00 (local time) on Thursday, April 18. The quake struck at a depth of 19 km (12 mi) and reportedly shook buildings in Taipei. No damages have been immediately reported. Aftershocks are likely in the coming hours and days.
