A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Indonesia early (local time) on Tuesday, June 11. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake struck approximately 138 km (85 mi) southwest of Tual. Aftershocks are possible in the affected area over the coming hours and days.
