Budget airline Jetstar Japan cancels at least 70 international and domestic flights in June due to pilot shortage

On Monday, June 3, Jetstar Japan announced that 70 international and domestic flights scheduled in June have been canceled due to a pilot shortage. Around 7500 customers have reportedly been affected and the airline has started procedures for flight changes or reimbursement. Impacted flights include service between Narita International Airport (NRT) and New Chitose Airport (CTS) in Hokkaido prefecture as well as to Taipei (Taiwan). Increased demand for other flights and associated disruptions are possible throughout the month of June.
