Nine injuries following two attacks in Tunis, June 27; avoid the area

According to the Ministry of Interior, five people, including two police officers and three civilians were injured following suicide bombing attack which occurred at approximately 10:50 (local time) and targeted police patrol near Rue Charles de Gaulle near the French Embassy in Tunis. All the area is on lockdown and buildings on Rue Charles de Gaulle and Avenue Bourguiba have been evacuated.

Furthermore, four other people were injured following a second attack at the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit building, located in the El Gorjani district.

All metro service has been halted in Tunis. Significant transportation disruptions are to be expected. Heightened security presence has been deployed across the city.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
