A protestant group plans to hold several parades throughout Northern Ireland on Friday, July 12, to celebrate the Twelfth (Protestant celebration) including in Belfast, Tandragee, Lisnaskea, Pomeroy, Donemana, Augher, Coleraine, Ballyronan, Holywood, Crossgar, Rathfriland, Kilkeel, Larne, Glenavy, Carlough, Ballymena, Ballymoney, and Ahoghill. In Belfast, participants are expected to proceed through the city center to Barnett Demesme park via Royal Avenue and Donegal Place, from 09:45 (local time) to 19:30. Heightened security measures and localized transportation disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the parades.
