Kenya: Flash flood leaves at least six people dead at Hell’s Gate Park September 1

Officials indicated on Sunday, September 1, that at least six people died and another is missing following flash floods at Hell's Gate National Park (Nukuru county; northwest of Nairobi) on the same day. Search and rescue operations continue as of Monday, September 2. The gorges in the park have been closed to the public until further notice following the incident.

Residual localized disruptions are possible in the area over the coming days.
