Tunisia: Presidential elections set for September 15

Tunisia's presidential election is scheduled for Sunday, September 15. The presidential race, presenting a total of 26 candidates, has officially started on Monday, September 2, and will continue until Friday, September 13. Prominent presidential candidates include former Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, acting president of Parliament and vice president of Ennahdha party Abdel Fattah Mourou, as well as former Minister of Defense Abdelkrim Zbidi.

Context
