Azerbaijan: Opposition alliance plans rally in Baku November 2

The National Council for Democratic Forces opposition alliance group has called for a rally in Baku on Saturday, November 2. Organizers reportedly said that they have asked the authorities for permission to hold the demonstration at either the 28 May metro station or the Məhsul stadium. They also said that if the authorities reject either location, they will still hold the rally in front of the 28 May metro station.

A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are expected near the demonstration.
