India: Grenade attack leaves six wounded in Srinagar October 26

Suspected militants threw a grenade at a security checkpoint in the Karan Nagar area of Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir state) on Saturday, October 26. According to local sources, at least six members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were wounded in the attack.

A heightened security presence has been reported in the vicinity of the incident and a search for the assailants is underway. Similar militant attacks targeting security forces are possible in Jammu and Kashmir over the near term.
