Police announce they foil planned bomb attacks planned in several districts across Jakarta on September 28; ten suspects arrested

On Tuesday, October 8, Indonesian police announced they had foiled bomb attacks scheduled to take place in several business districts across Jakarta amid the Mujahid 212 rally held on Saturday, September 28.

Since Saturday, September 28, ten suspects have been arrested and 29 explosive devices seized. According to the lead perpetrator, who admitted planning and financing the attacks, the attacks were targeting Chinese-Indonesian businesses.
