As of Thursday, November 7, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) has issued a high fire alert in Western Australia, effective through Sunday, November 10. High temperatures, which are forecasted to reach 40°C (104°F) in the Perth area on Saturday, November 9, along with strong winds of 40 kph (25 mph), are creating conditions that may encourage the outbreak of wildfires. As of Thursday, a total fire ban has been issued in the Carnavon district.

Evacuation orders, road closures, and power outages are possible in the vicinity of the wildfire.
