India: App-based taxi drivers to hold a two-day strike in Delhi November 13-14

App-based taxi drivers call for a two-day strike in Delhi starting on November 13; transportation disruptions likely

Warning

Event

App-based taxi drivers in Delhi have called for a two-day strike on Wednesday, November 13, and Thursday, November 14, to demand that government fixes fares for app-based cabs. Traffic disruption is expected across the city as less alternative means of transportation will be available. This is especially due to an odd-even road rationing scheme that has been implemented across the city, between November 4 and November 15, as part of anti-pollution measures.

Advice

Individuals in Delhi are advised to monitor developments to the situation, prepare for transportation disruptions, make alternative arrangements if necessary, and avoid all protests as a precaution.
