Japan: G20 meeting in Nagoya scheduled for November 22-23

G20 foreign ministers’ meeting scheduled in Nagoya (Aichi prefecture) November 22-23; heightened security presence and traffic disruptions reported

Japan will host a G20 foreign ministers' meeting at the Kanko Hotel in Nagoya (Aichi prefecture) from Friday, November 22, through Saturday, November 23. Heightened security measures and localized transportation disruptions are expected during the summit, including at the Chubu Centrair International Airport (NgO).

Authorities in Nagoya will limit road traffic in central Nagoya and Nagoya expressway until Sunday, November 24. On Friday, traffic regulation is expected on the Chitahanto road northbound. On Saturday and Sunday, regulation are scheduled to affect Chitahanto road Southbound. Further transportation disruptions are likely to occur on short notice.
