At least one US soldier have been killed and several other US and Afghan soldiers injured in the evening (local time) on Sunday, December 22, as militants reportedly ambushed their convoy in Char Dara district (Kunduz province). Details are still emerging. As of Monday, December 23, Taliban militants claimed responsibility for the attack.
