Australia: Jetstar workers to strike December 13-15

The Australian Federation of Air Pilots (AFAP) and the Transport Workers’ Union (TWU) confirmed on Monday, December 9, that Jetstar pilots and workers will hold a series of industrial actions on Saturday, December 14, and Sunday, December 15. A series of four-hour strikes totaling 24 hours will be held between the two days. Jetstar ground crew works will also hold two two-hour work stoppages on Friday, December 13, at airports in Sydney, Melbourne, Avalon, Brisbane, Cairns, and Adelaide. According to local media reports, Jetstar has stopped selling seats on some weekend flights as of Tuesday, December 10, ahead of the upcoming strike.
