A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck 4 km (2.5 mi) south-southeast of Lejanías (Meta department) around 14:03 (local time) on Tuesday, December 24. A 5.8-magnitude aftershock also reportedly hit the area around 14:19. No casualties or significant material damages were immediately reported.
Aftershocks are possible in the affected area over the coming hours and days.
