More than 40 heads of state will travel to Jerusalem between Monday, January 20, and Friday, January 24, to participate in the 5th World Holocaust Forum. The main event, which coincides with International Holocaust Remembrance Day, will be held at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial and museum on Thursday, January 23. On Wednesday, January 22, leaders will gather at President Reuven Rivlin's official residence in Jerusalem for a dinner and discussion. A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions, including road closures, are to be expected in the vicinity of both events.
Police warned residents in Jerusalem to expect significant transportation disruptions across downtown Jerusalem, particularly in the vicinity of the King David Hotel, from January 20-24.
