Heavy rains and associated floods kill four in the West Java and Central Kalimantan provinces as of April 23; further rain forecast

As of Thursday, April 23, heavy rains and associated floods that have affected the West Java and Central Kalimantan provinces have killed at least four people. In Cimhahi city (West Java), one person died on Tuesday, April 21, and residents were evacuated by emergency services. On Monday, April 20, the inclement weather left three people dead in the Damang Batu district (Central Kalimantan) while three others are still missing. Rescue operations are ongoing.
Additional moderate rain is forecast in the affected provinces on Friday, April 24.
