Strong winds kill one and injure 30 others in Bukhara region on April 28; residual disruptions likely

Strong winds of up to 90 kph (55 mph) killed one and injured 30 others in the Bukhara region on Tuesday, April 28. The Emergency Situations Ministry announced that strong winds had also caused power outages and severed natural gas supplies to 140,000 homes in the region. Damage assessment and rescue operations are underway in the region of Tuesday.

Residual transportation disruptions and potential power outages are to be expected over the coming days.
