Activists have called on supporters nationwide to demonstrate on Sunday, June 7, to protest against President Alexander Lukashenko's bid for a sixth consecutive term in the presidential election on August 9. Protesters will gather near the Komarovski market hall in Minsk from 12:00 (local time). Other protest locations and times were not immediately announced, but similar demonstrations are expected to take place in urban centers nationwide.

A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions, such as road closures and traffic delays, are likely around demonstrations. Clashes between protesters and security forces cannot be ruled out.
