Opposition groups to hold protest in Port-au-Prince on July 23; anticipate a heightened security presence

Opposition groups have announced that on Thursday, July 23, a protest is to take place in front of the Ministry of Justice in Port-au-Prince. The demonstration was called for by the National Union of Haitian Normaliens, "Esklav Revolte", and the "Mouvement de Liberté, d'Égalité des Haitiens pour la Fraternité". Participants are gathering to denounce insecurity and alleged recent killings of civilians. 

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are anticipated in the vicinity of any protest.
