Nationwide protest scheduled for August 25 over 'omnibus' bill; avoid all demonstrations

Nationwide protests are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 25, throughout urban centers in Indonesia over the 'Omnibus' bill. The demonstrations have been called for by the Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KPSI) and are being held in protest over the Omnibus bill, which seeks to revise the labor law. One of the demonstrations is scheduled to be held outside the national parliament building in Jakarta, while similar protests are expected in Bandung (West Java province), Serang (Banten province), Semarang (Central Java), and Surabaya (East Java province).

Associated disruptions to transportation are to be expected around the demonstration site.
