Counter-demonstrations are also likely to take place. Participants are reportedly intending to gather from 09:00 (local time). Authorities closed the park on Friday, August 14, ahead of possible clashes between pro- and anti-demonstrators.

Similar protests took place on July 4 and passed off peacefully.

A heightened security presence is to be anticipated in the vicinity of any protest site, along with disruptions to overland travel.
