Event

The US embassy in Port-au-Prince has issued a security message warning of protests planned to be held in the capital on Sunday, September 20. Demonstrators are expected to gather at the Champ de Mars and march via Rue Capois, Lalue, Avenue Martin Luther King, Nazon, Carrefour Aeroport, Route de Delmas, Delmas 32, Bourdon, Avenue John Brown, Bois Verna, Rue Christophe, Rue Magny before returning to the Champ de Mars.

Sunday's demonstration is intended to be peaceful. However, protests in Haiti can quickly escalate and frequently involve clashes between demonstrators and security forces.
