Rocket fire reported near Baghdad International Zone on September 14; further attacks possible
Event
At least two rockets were fired towards the International Zone of Baghdad during the evening of Monday, September 14. Sources suggest that the rockets were fired in the direction of the US Embassy and unverified reports suggest that air defense systems at the Embassy intercepted the projectiles; however, additional rockets may have been fired and impacted within the Zone.
Further attacks targeting the International Zone are expected to continue in the near term.
