Anti-government protests scheduled in Baghdad for October 25; avoid all demonstrations

Anti-government protests are scheduled to take place in Baghdad on Sunday, October 25. The current locations and timings of the demonstrations are yet to be announced, however, previous demonstrations have taken place at Tahrir Square and the nearby bridges leading to the green zone. Associated protests are likely in the southern governorates with protesters expected to gather at public squares and government buildings.
A heightened security presence and associated transport and business disruptions are to be expected near protest sites. Clashes between protesters and the security forces cannot be ruled out.
