Unidentified assailants attacked a bus traveling on the Deir Ezzor-Palmyra Road (M20) near Kobajjeb in Deir Ez-Zur Governorate at approximately 1600 Dec. 30. At least 25 people were killed and 13 others wounded in the attack. There are conflicting reports as to whether the passengers were civilians or government troops.
