Syrian government forces allegedly shelling rebel forces in southern Idlib Governorate, as of Dec. 24. Retaliatory strikes almost certain.

Local media reports affiliated with elements of the Syrian opposition allege government forces are continuing to shell rebel-held positions in southern Idlib Governorate Dec. 15. Reports suggest much of the shelling is centered around the towns of Kafar Aweed and Sfuhen. Casualties are currently unconfirmed.
Retaliatory artillery from rebel forces against government-held areas in Idlib Governorate are almost certain to occur in the coming days.
