Cross-border disruptions between Afghanistan and Iran are ongoing Feb. 13 following a fuel tanker explosion in Islam Qala in Afghanistan's Herat Province, near the border with Iran, Feb. 13. Dozens of people have been injured and the associated fire has reportedly spread to hundreds of trucks carrying natural gas and fuel. The fire has also spread to the customs facilities on the Iranian side of the border. The cause of the incident is unknown.
