Maldivian authorities have extended a 2000-0400 nightly curfew across Fuvahmulah city through at least Feb. 28 due to increased coronavirus disease (COVID-19) activity. Further extensions are possible. Suspensions to public movement, business operations, and nonessential vehicle movement will be in effect during curfew hours. Other nationwide COVID-19 controls continue. Educational institutions, sporting venues, and most public spaces remain closed. All residents aged above two years old must wear facemasks in public.
