Additional protests and clashes remain likely through at least April 10 outside Tataouine Regional Government Office in Tataouine following violence March 30. Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the governor's office to demand jobs. Protesters maintain that the regional government has failed to implement an agreement signed between the central government and Tataouine Governorate in 2017 to bring about employment in energy and infrastructure industries.
