Indonesia: Activists plan to demonstrate at the KPK and PPATK in Jakarta from 10:00 April 8

Activists from the anti-corruption group Gebuk plan to demonstrate outside the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) in Jakarta from 10:00 April 8. The action is to demand the authorities investigate alleged corrupt practices in several state agencies, including the Social Security Administrator for Health Indonesia (BPJS). Dozens to hundreds of people may participate in the action.

Authorities will likely increase security at the KPK and the PPATK and their surrounding areas April 8. Localized road closures and business disruptions are possible during any demonstration, especially if protesters occupy nearby streets, such as Jalan Ir. H. Juanda and Jalan Kuningan Persada.
