Authorities in Seychelles maintain eased COVID-19 entry measures and restrictions as of April 3. Travel and business disruptions likely.

Warning

Event

As of April 3, authorities in Seychelles have maintained eased entry measures as part of the country's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since March 25, travelers have been allowed to enter Seychelles regardless of vaccine status. Travelers will need to provide a negative PCR test taken up to 72 hours before departure. Visitors will also need to provide a Health Travel Authorisation document and must stay at locations approved by the authorities. Residents and permit holders do not need to quarantine if the negative entry test condition is met. Residents who do not provide a negative test will have to quarantine for seven days with a free PCR test conducted after five days. Individuals traveling from South Africa are temporarily banned from travel to Seychelles. All arrivals by yacht must apply for entry into the country and may only come ashore 14 days after departing their last destination. Passengers may disembark early after taking PCR test at personal expense.

Domestic Restrictions:

  • A nightly 22:00-04:00 curfew is in place until further notice. Only essential workers, who will be granted permits, can travel during this period.

  • The use of facemasks is compulsory in public spaces. Restaurants and spas can reopen in line with authorities' guidance.

  • Bars, nightclubs, and casinos remain closed.

  • Groups of no more than two people may visit the beach together, providing they are from the same household.

  • Gatherings with individuals outside one's household are banned.

Persons contravening movement and social distancing measures will be subject to a fine or arrest. Authorities will probably amend measures on short notice if the number of COVID-19 cases increases.
