Aruba: Authorities ease COVID-19 travel restrictions as of July 26 /update 29
Aruba eases certain COVID-19-related travel restrictions as of July 26; limited domestic restrictions remain.
Event
As of July 26, authorities in Aruba have eased certain travel restrictions for fully vaccinated travelers, while maintaining other entry requirements. Officials lifted most domestic business restrictions early June.
Under the measure, all travelers 15 years and older must provide proof of a negative PCR or antigen COVID-19 test, taken between three days and four hours prior to departure to the island. However, US residents who have received all doses of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to travel, and can provide proof for the same, may be exempt from the pre-travel testing. More details of this exception can be found here. Non-exempted persons arriving without a negative result of a COVID-19 test will be tested at the airport at their own expense, followed by a mandatory quarantine period of up to 24 hours in their accommodations while awaiting test results.
Additionally, all travelers, including fully vaccinated US residents, must complete the digital Embarkation-Disembarkation Card (ED Card), and must have purchase mandatory health insurance before travel. Travelers aged 15 and older must wear protective facemasks traveling to Aruba and in the airports.
Domestically, authorities have lifted all business restrictions, while the use of facemasks will remain mandatory only in businesses that choose to require it. Public events remained banned.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on local disease activity.
