Cote d'Ivoire: Unionized tax agents to strike nationwide, July 21-23

FESY-DGI is demanding improved salaries, among other claims. The work stoppage will likely have an impact on government administrative offices. Although the FESY-DGI leadership has made no specific call for demonstrations, unionized tax workers could stage protests during the strike. Gatherings could occur outside government-operated facilities - such as the main tax authority and other related administrative offices - in major cities and towns, including Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, Bouake, San Pedro, and Korhogo.
