A magnitude-6.7 earthquake occurred in the Balayan Bay, Philippines, at 04:48 PHT July 24. The epicenter was about 16 km (10 miles) south of Hukay, and about 105 km (65 miles) south of Manila. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 112 km (70 miles), and moderate-to-strong shaking was reported throughout central Luzon and across Mindoro.
