Greenland maintaining COVID-19 measures as of Sept. 14; international entry restrictions in place, limited domestic restrictions remain.
Event
Authorities in Greenland are maintaining measures imposed to combat the spread of COVID-19 as of Sept. 14. Entry is permitted for vaccinated or recovered individuals; entry for travelers who do not meet either requirement is permitted for residents only. All permitted arrivals must also present a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before departure. Unvaccinated residents must also quarantine for 14 days on arrival; quarantine can be ended early following a negative COVID-19 test taken on day five of quarantine. Domestic Restrictions
Domestic restrictions have been lifted nationwide except for in Sisimut. In Sisimut, gatherings are limited to 20 people. Evidence of vaccination against, recovery from, or recently testing negative for COVID-19 is required to access several facilities, including catering establishments, cultural venues, sports facilities, and personal care services. Individuals leaving Sisimut must take a COVID-19 test before departure and quarantine for 14 days on arrival; quarantine can be ended early following a negative COVID-19 test on day 5 of quarantine.
Any restrictions may be extended or amended with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
