Authorities in Samoa plan to institute nationwide movement curbs 08:00-18:00 Sept. 23-24 to facilitate a mass vaccination campaign. Residents must remain at home and travelers in accommodations during lockdown hours.

Most public and private sector organizations will remain closed during the designated period; however, medical, security and fire services, and utilities will continue to operate. Significant commercial disruptions are almost certain. People could crowd stores to stock up on supplies ahead of the lockdown. The government will close all roads to the public, except for authorized vehicles; delivery and shipping delays are highly likely.
