Greenland maintaining COVID-19 measures as of Oct. 14; international entry restrictions in place, limited domestic restrictions remain.
Event
Authorities in Greenland are maintaining measures imposed to combat the spread of COVID-19 as of Oct. 14. Entry is permitted for vaccinated or recovered individuals; other travelers are only permitted to enter if they are residents. All permitted arrivals must present a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before departure. Unvaccinated residents must quarantine for 14 days on arrival; quarantine can be ended early following a negative COVID-19 test taken on day five. All arrivals must complete a personal location form (Sumut form) before departure for Greenland, available here.
Domestic Restrictions
Some domestic restrictions remain in place until at least Oct. 31. In Nuuk, evidence of vaccination against, recovery from, or recently testing negative for COVID-19 is required to access several facilities, including catering establishments, cultural venues, sports facilities, and personal care services. Unvaccinated individuals traveling from Nuuk or Sisimiut to another location in Greenland must quarantine for 14 days on arrival; quarantine can be ended early following a negative COVID-19 test on day 5 of quarantine.
Any restrictions may be extended or amended with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
