Authorities have killed four militants and captured a fifth that was involved in an attack on Sardar Mohammad Dawood Khan Hospital in the Wazir Akbar Khan area of Kabul Nov. 2. Two explosions occurred near the hospital at approximately 13:00, with at least one of the blasts being caused by a suicide bomber. Militants entered the hospital and clashes broke out with security forces. Media sources indicate at least 19 people have been killed and 50 others wounded, though authorities may provide updates on casualties in the coming hours. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, though Taliban officials claim the Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-K) is responsible.
