Opposition activists are planning to protest in Sukhumi, in the secessionist region of Abkhazia, Nov. 4 to demand the dismissal of Abkhaz Minister of Internal Affairs Dmitry Dbar. Participants will gather at 13:00 on the city's Theater Square. Authorities have increased security around nearby government buildings ahead of the gathering; any additional security measures could cause transport disruptions in the vicinity of the protest until participants have dispersed.

While the event is likely to pass off peacefully, clashes between police and protesters are possible if the latter become disruptive or refuse to disperse when ordered. Although bystanders are unlikely to be targeted in any incidents of violence, they may face an indirect threat near possible clashes.
